Watcha Gonna Do?
Words and music by Larry Holder · 1997
Key of Bbm · 96 BPM · 4/4 · Praise · Luke 15:11-24
Verse 1
So you're big and bad, got the money and the bling
And you've reached the world of fame
Everyone's your friend, hanging on your ev'ry word
And they're calling our name.
Party through the night, got your women and your booze
As you chase the world of sin
Until the walls start crashin' in.
Verse 2
Watcha gonna do when the darkness comes
And you find you've lost your way?
Watcha gonna do when the bread is gone
And you've still got bills to pay?
When you hit the ground, there is not a friend around
Like a moth, they chase the flame
While you turn to face your wall of shame.
chorus 1
When you reach the end of who you are
And no one knows your name
When the world has closed its doors to you
You'll know it's time to play a diff'rent game!
Verse 3
So, watcha gonna do when you've reached the end
And there's no one else around?
Let me tell you, friend, there is still a ray of hope
And salvation can be found.
Don't you know the Lord has been calling out your name
You couldn't hear him for so long
In Him, you'll sing a diff'rent song.
Verse 4
Watcha gonna do when you realize
That it's time to turn for home?
Rest assured, my friend that the Lord is waiting there
And you need not be alone.
Jesus Christ is real, and He knows just how you feel
For He walked this earth you trod.
Surrender to the love of God.
chorus 2
When you reach the end of who you are
And you turn to God above
You will find what you've been missing, friend:
His mercy, grace, His peace, and His love!
