Lyrics

(Short introduction)

Verse 1

Thank you, my brother,
for being around,
For stopping to listen
when I was cast down.
For being a brother
and lending a hand,
For prayers that you offered
that helped me to stand.

Refrain

Brother to brother
is how we must live
There are times we receive,
just as times we're to give.
The care and compassion
are stars in your crown
For being my brother
when I was cast down.

Verse 2

So take heart, my brother
if ever you're down.
I'll stand right beside you
and always be found.
And when we've departed,
though time is like sand,
We'll rejoice up in heaven,
as brother and friend.
(Repeat Refrain)
Brother to brother
is how we must live
There are times we receive,
just as times we're to give.
The care and compassion
are stars in your crown
For being my brother
when I was cast down.
